The Future of TV: Samsung Smart TV Launch in Cagayan de Oro

I grew up watching TV during weekends, could it be on Philippine free TV shows or DVD, I am definitely glued to it. That’s why when the CDOBloggers were invited to the first ever outside Metro Manila Samsung Smart TV launch, I told myself not to miss it and there you go I was there to witness the future of Television.

Samsung Philippines, the leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, invited a lot of influential VIPs in Cagayan de Oro, including the press people and their distributors who made this event possible. Better late than never, the event started with a buffet dinner and was entertained by a band.

After 30 minutes, the program started with Samsung introducing their new line of Smart TVs (LED ES8000 series, the LED ES7500 series and the Plasma E8000 series) and the three breaking technology:
The Smart Interaction highlighting the Smart TVs capability for Motion Control, Voice Control, and Face Recognition commands.
Second, Smart Content, Samsung provides consumers access to the widest variety of premium content available, with over 1,500 plus apps offered worldwide to suit your likes and interests.
Lastly, the Smart Evolution, Finally, Samsung’s Evolution Kit—an industry first—will allow consumers to easily and cost-effectively enjoy the latest technology services on their TV. So no need to purchase another Smart TV with rapid advancements in both TV hardware and software, the kit will keep your TV new every year.
I thought they only have 1 Smart TV displayed until a Samsung representative unveiled their biggest surprise for the evening. Wow!

We also threw a few questions to the Samsung people:
Vic: Is Samsung using DLNA(Digital Network Alliance Network) technology in transferring videos from a smart phone to the TV?
Samsung Representative: We are using the cloud technology in transferring files, Bluetooth for the 3D viewing.
CDOBloggers Bang: How much is the new Samsung Smart TV?
